“The Big Reef” is a bright, spacious and comfortable holiday home overlooking Derrynane Bay and the Atlantic. All the facilities and the equipment are to a high standard. Guests can spent a holiday with lots of privacy in this charming ambience.
The house is located in Derrynane/Bunavalla in a quite cul-de-sac about 15 minutes walking distance from the sea and only a few kilometres off the famaous Ring of Kerry and the Wild Atlantic Way. The area is part of the internationally recognised “Kerry Dark Sky Reserve” with no light pollution at all but with millions of stars in clear nights.
The unique area invites you for many sportiv activities or sightseeing. Several renowned Golf Courses and classified Celtic Cultural Sites are within easy reach. Not to forget the sandy Beach of Derrynane that invites everybody to play, swim, fish or relax.
Various watersport activities, like sailing, surfing, snorkelling , canoeing and standup paddleing as well as adventure camps for kids are offerd by Derrynane Seasports. Or simply walk the various routes through the magical Derrynane National Historic Park or along the breathtaking coastline.
During the summer you may as well enjoy a boat trip with John O`Shea Skellig Tours from the local pier in Bealtra across Derrynane Bay or else to the historic Skelligs.
